10 Month Contract
Salary : 6500 RMB per month, paid around the 8th of each month;
Living allowance (covering accommodation, electricity and water, phone bills): 2500RMB, paid around the 8th of each month;
Travel Allowance Package (including international airfare and domestic fare to the destination): 10000RMB, to be paid 2 weeks before the expiration of the contract;
Productivity Bonus: up to 6500, subject to the approval of vice dean in teaching and learning; to be paid 2 weeks before the expiration of the contract;
Holiday: Chinese National Holiday
Responsibility:
1. Working 20 weeks each semester, 16 weeks for teaching, 2 weeks for examination, starting one week before the actual classes start, finishing one week after the university examination weeks with the completion of marking all the examinations.
2. Teaching 18 periods (45 minutes per period) per week
3. Teaching speaking, listening, reading and writing;
4. 8 office hours per week during the academic semester;
5. At least one afternoon (around 2 hours) for the team meeting (part of the 8 office hours);
Basic Requirements:
1. Degree, in English or Education preferred;
2. TESOL or TFL Certificate;
3. 2 years’ teaching experience, IELTS teaching and experience in China and Asia preferred.
